Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 52 year old Mohegan Lake man, who is charged with Unlawful Imprisonment, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
On June 24, 2018 at approximately 5:45 pm, Yorktown Police Headquarters received a trespass complaint at a private Mohegan Lake beach. P.O. Hannigan was dispatched to investigate. Upon arrival, an investigation revealed that the defendant, the beach manager, had a dispute with beach members over their use of the beach. He then changed the lock to the beach access fence, locking several people in the beach area against their will and without allowing them a way to leave. Following the investigation at the scene and at the request of the victims, the defendant was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. Once at Yorktown Police Headquarters, the defendant was processed on the above charge and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on July 24, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
