Mohegan Lake Man Charged with Assault After Gas Station Altercation

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 57 year old Mohegan Lake man, who is charged with Assault in the 3RD Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
 
On June 2, 2018 at approximately 5:55 PM, Yorktown Police responded to the Shell Gas Station located at 930 East Main Street for a call of an altercation in progress.  Upon arrival, an investigation revealed that the defendant allegedly struck the victim in his mouth causing injuries and extreme pain to the victim.  The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.
 
The defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo who issued a temporary order of protection protecting the victim.  The defendant was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on June 21, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
