Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 31year old Mohegan Lake woman, who is charged with Burglary 1st Degree, a Class “B” Felony, Robbery 1st Degree, a Class “B” Felony, Assault 2nd Degree, a Class “D” Felony, and Fail to Use Designated Lane, a traffic infraction.
According to police, on November 1, 2020 at approximately 2:14 am, members of the Yorktown Police Department responded to a Yorktown residence on the report of an alleged assault that had just occurred. Following an investigation, it is alleged that the Defendant unlawfully entered the victim’s residence, forcibly stole property and caused physical injury to the victim. Initial attempts to locate the Defendant were unsuccessful, so an Arrest Warrant was applied for and issued by the Yorktown Justice Court. On December 7, 2020 at about 9:21 pm, Officer Battista was on patrol along East Main Street when he observed a vehicle fail to use the designated lane. A traffic stop was conducted and the Defendant was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Following further investigation at the scene, the Defendant was placed under arrest on the Arrest Warrant and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. After arrest processing was completed the Defendant was issued a traffic ticket for the above traffic charge and she was arraigned on the Arrest Warrant and underlying charges by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. A Temporary Order of Protection was issued and served on behalf of the victim. The Defendant was remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail or $50,000 bond. The Defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on December 15, 2020 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
