Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 52 year old Mount Vernon man, who is charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class "E" Felony and Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, a 40 year old Mount Vernon woman, who is charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class "E" Felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, and a 57 year old Mount Vernon man, who is charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration, an Unclassified Misdemeanor.
According to Police, on September 29, 2022 at approximately 2:30 PM Officer Montero was dispatched to 650 Lee Blvd for a report of a larceny from Dick’s Sporting Goods. Officer Montero found the alleged vehicle the defendants were seen getting into, leaving the area of the Jefferson Valley Mall and conducted a traffic stop. An investigation was conducted and it is alleged that Defendant #1 and Defendant #2 stole $1,401 worth of merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods. It is further alleged that Defendant #3 operated a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. Defendant # 3 was processed at the scene and releases on his own recognizance. Defendant # 3 is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 18, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Defendant # 1 and Defendant # 2 were both placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. While at Yorktown Police Headquarters, it was discovered that Defendant #1 was allegedly violating a Stay Away Temporary Order of Protection by being with Defendant #2. Following processing on the above charges, Defendant # 1 and Defendant # 2 were arraigned by Judge Cohen-Pierson. Bail was set at $10,000 for Defendant #1 and Defendant # 2 was released on her own recognizance. Defendant #1 was not able to make bail and was turned over to Westchester County Department of Corrections. Both Defendant # 1 and Defendant # 2 are scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 13, 2022 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
