Yorktown Police report the capture of a 23 year old Bronx man, who is the alleged suspect in a recent New York City homicide.
On June 16, 2020 at approximately 12:15 pm, Yorktown Police received a notification to be on the look out for a vehicle that was in connection to a homicide investigation that occurred in New York City in May, 2020. Shortly after 3:00 pm, Yorktown Police received further information that the vehicle may be traveling on Route 6 through the Town of Yorktown. Several Yorktown officers began canvassing the area and Sgt. Rapisarda located the vehicle in the Mohegan Lake business district. Yorktown Police conducted a traffic stop were assisted by members of the New York State Police and the Westchester County Department of Public Safety. The driver of the vehicle was identified as the alleged homicide suspect and was safely taken into custody without incident. The defendant was detained and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was later placed under arrest by detectives from the NYPD and transferred to their custody. Comments are closed.
