Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 33 year old Ossining man, who is charged with Attempted Petit Larceny, a Class “B” Misdemeanor.
According to police, on January 24, 2021 at approximately 11:45 pm, Yorktown Police received a report that a homeowner observed someone entering and going through his unlocked vehicle in his driveway. Officer Palladino and several other officers responded to the scene and found the victim was holding the defendant down, awaiting the arrival of police. Officer Palladino took custody of the defendant and initiated an investigation. At the completion of the investigation, it is alleged that the defendant unlawfully entered the victim’s vehicle and was attempting to steal items from inside. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. After arrest processing was completed, the defendant was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance. He is due to appear before the Yorktown Justice Court on February 11, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
