Yorktown Police report the arrest of an Ossining man, who is charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree, a Class "E" Felony and Identity Theft 1st degree, a Class "D" Felony.
On February 13, 2018 Yorktown Police received a report from a resident of Yorktown who reported that a check made out to him had been mailed to an incorrect address and had been cashed by an unknown person. Detective Nadoraski was assigned to investigate. Following an investigation, it is alleged that on January 29, 2018 at 12:53 PM, the defendant assumed the identity of the victim and deposited the check in the amount of $2,670 into his own bank account and periodically made withdrawals. On August 16, 2018, the defendant voluntarily appeared at Police Headquarters where he was placed under arrest. The defendant was processed on the above charges and was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo. The defendant was released on $1000 cash bail and is due back in Yorktown Court on August 23, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
