Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 26 year old Peekskill man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3RD degree, a Class D Felony, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3RD degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.
On July 05, 2018 at approximately 03:31 PM Yorktown Police received information, via a hotline message from Peekskill PD, that a vehicle that was just stolen out of Peekskill was travelling Eastbound on Crompond Rd. in Yorktown. Several Officers were dispatched to Crompond Rd in an attempt to locate the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was able to track the vehicle by GPS and continued to update police with the location of the vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently located on Croton Lake Rd. by Sgt Rapisarda and P.O. Garcia. An investigation on scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly in possession of the vehicle reported stolen out of Peekskill NY, allegedly operating the vehicle with a suspended license and was also in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The defendant was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo who set bail at $1000.00 cash or $5000.00 bond which the defendant could not post. He was remanded to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections. The defendant is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on July 19, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
