Yorktown Police report the arrest of a twenty-six year old Peekskill man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor and Unlicensed Driver, Fail to Obey a Traffic Control Device, Uninspected Motor Vehicle and Following Too Closely, all Traffic Infractions.
On September 12, 2018 at about 10:35 am, Officer Curtin was on routine patrol on Route 6 in the area of Mill St. Officer Curtin conducted a traffic stop after he observed a vehicle that was following too closely and that failed to obey a traffic control device. Further investigation revealed that the driver was driving without a New York State driver’s license and while his privilege to drive in New York State was suspended. The vehicle was also found to not have a valid New York State safety inspection. The driver was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on October 11, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
