Peekskill Man Arrested on Outstanding Bench Warrant

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 19 year old Peekskill man on a Bench Warrant issued by the Yorktown Justice Court for a Violation of Probation, a Violation.
 
On May 2, 2017 it is alleged that the defendant missed a scheduled court appearance in Yorktown Court in violation of his Probation and a Bench warrant was issued.  On May 17, 2018, Yorktown Police were notified that the defendant was in custody at the Peekskill Police Department and was being detained due to the outstanding Warrant. Officer Fortunato and Officer Houlihan responded to Peekskill and took custody of the defendant and transported him to Yorktown Police Headquarters.
 
The defendant was processed and arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo who remanded the defendant to Westchester County Department of Corrections in lieu of bail. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on May 22, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
