Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 39 year old Peekskill, NY resident, who is charged with Attempted Assault in the 3rd degree, a class “B” Misdemeanor, and Criminal Contempt 1st degree, a class “E” Felony.
On June 30, 2020 at approximately 10:11 PM, Sgt. Dillon, P.O. Lizarzaburu and P.O. Paniccia responded to a residence located within the Town of Yorktown to investigate a report of a domestic dispute. Following an investigation at the scene, it’s alleged that the defendant attempted to cause physical injury to the victim by closed fist punching, slapping and knocking the victim to the ground. It is further alleged that defendant did punch, slap and knock the victim to the ground in violation of a duly served Order of Protection. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Lagonia. The defendant was served a Temporary Order of Protection and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 18, 2020 at 6:00 PM.
