Pelham Woman Charged with Felony Attempted Assault After Punching 73 Year Old Woman in Face6/13/2018
Yorktown Police report the arrest of a thirty-seven year old Pelham woman, who is charged with Attempted Assault 2nd Degree, a Class “E” Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On June 9, 2018 at about 11:56 am, Officer Houlihan responded to Yorktown Police Headquarters for a walk-in complaint of a domestic incident that occurred approximately an hour earlier. After conducting an investigation and interviewing the seventy-three year old female victim, it is alleged that the defendant attempted to cause a physical injury to the female victim by physical attacking her and punching her in the face. It is also alleged that the defendant attacked the victim in the presence of two young children. The defendant later voluntarily surrendered herself at Yorktown Police Headquarters, where she was arrested and subsequently charged. The defendant was later arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia. The defendant was released on her own recognizance and a temporary order of protection was issued on the victim’s behalf. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on July 12, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
