Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 31 year old Poughkeepsie man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Inadequate Brake Lamps, Speed in Zone and Uninspected Motor Vehicle, all Traffic Infractions.
On November 15, 2018 at 10:30 am, P.O. Woodard was on routine patrol when he observed a speeding car and conducted a traffic stop on Croton Lake Road (Route 129). The driver of the vehicle was identified via a New York State Non-Drivers ID card. A routine license check was conducted, which revealed that the defendant's driving privilege was suspended 4 times (4 on 2 dates) for failing to answer a summons, as well being revoked for three speeding violations or misdemeanors in 18 months. It is also alleged that the motor vehicle the defendant was operating was not inspected and did not have adequate brake lights. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed and released on $150.00 cash bail. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on December 13, 2018 at 6:00 pm to answer the charges. Comments are closed.
