Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 23 year old Putnam Valley, NY, resident who is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a class A misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation and Failure to Maintain Lane, a traffic infraction.
According to police, on July 13, 2020, at approximately 9:26 AM, officers responded to a report of an erratic operator. A vehicle matching the description was allegedly observed failing to maintain the proper lane of travel in the area of Wildwood Street. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly driving while ability impaired by drugs, in possession of a quantity of Alprazolam, a controlled substance, and in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on her own recognizance to a responsible third party. She is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on August 27, 2020 at 6:00pm Comments are closed.
