Putnam Valley Man Charged with DWI After Car Accident

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 67 year old Putnam Valley man, who is charged with Driving while Intoxicated with .08 or more blood alcohol content and Driving while Intoxicated, both Unclassified Misdemeanors. He is additionally charged with failing to keep right, a traffic infraction.
 
On August 24, 2018, at approximately 10:27 PM Yorktown Police received a call of personal injury auto accident and Officers were dispatched.  An investigation on scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated.  Further investigation revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating the vehicle while having a blood alcohol content of .08 or more and failed to keep right.  The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing..
 
The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance to a responsible party.  The defendant is due back in Yorktown Court on September 6, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
