Yorktown Police report the arrest of 20 year old Putnam Valley man, who is charged with two counts of Forcible Touching and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both Class "A" Misdemeanors.
On February 19, 2020, PO Paniccia was approached by two residents who reported a possible sexual assault that occurred the evening of February 18, 2020 in the Shrub Oak Shopping Center parking lot on East Main Street. Yorktown Detectives and PO Paniccia commenced an investigation and consulted with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. It is alleged that in the evening hours of February 18, 2020, the defendant forcibly touched the victim’s intimate parts multiple times and acted in a manner which endangered the welfare of a child. On March 10, 2020, Det. Sage contacted the defendant’s attorney and arranged for the defendant to voluntarily surrender himself at Yorktown Police Headquarters for arrest processing on the above charges. The defendant was processed on the above charges and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia. The defendant was served a Temporary Order of Protection and posted bail in the amount of $5,000. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 17, 2020 at 6:00 pm.
