Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 44 year old Putnam Valley man, who is charged with Bail Jumping in the Third Degree, a Class "A" misdemeanor.
According to police, on October 25, 2016, Yorktown Police arrested the defendant on a charge of petit larceny. On June 1, 2017, the defendant failed to appear for a scheduled court date relating to the petit larceny case and a Bench Warrant was subsequently issued. On July 24, 2018 Yorktown Police responded to Riker’s Island Correctional Center where the defendant was in custody on unrelated charges. Officer Ellsworth and Det. Tausz responded to Riker’s Island Correctional Center and arrested the defendant on the two outstanding Bench Warrants. Following processing at the Yorktown Police Department, the defendant was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. Comments are closed.
