Second Drugged Driving Arrest of the Day

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 27 year old Bethel, CT man, who is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, an Unclassified Misdemeanor and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
 
On May 21, 2018 at approximately 08:00 PM, Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries and a vehicle on its side.  Upon arrival an investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while impaired on drugs.  Further investigation revealed that the defendant was allegedly in possession of a quantity of crack/cocaine.  The defendant was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
 
The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on $250.00 bail to a responsible party.  The defendant is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on May 29, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
