Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 56 year old Shrub Oak, NY resident who is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, both unclassified misdemeanors. He was additionally charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor.
On July 28, 2019 at approximately 1:54 PM Officers responded to a report of an erratic driver. Officer Palladino located the vehicle in the gas station parking lot located at 930 East Main Street and identified the operator. A computer check at the scene revealed that the defendants driving privilege in New York was allegedly suspended for failure to answer a summons and his vehicle registration was allegedly suspended for an insurance lapse. Further investigation revealed that the defendant was allegedly in possession of a quantity of heroin. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters. The defendant was processed on the above charges and then released on $100.00 cash bail. The defendant is scheduled to answer said charges in the Yorktown Justice Court on September 5, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
