Stamford, CT Man Charged with DWI, Leaving the Scene of an Accident After Hitting Rock Wall12/10/2020
Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 34 year old Stamford, Connecticut man, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, as well as Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Auto Accident and Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, both Traffic Infractions.
According to police, on December 7, 2020 at approximately 11:25 pm, Yorktown Police received a report of a single car motor vehicle accident. Officer Uhl responded to the scene and identified the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident as the defendant. An investigation was then conducted at the scene, which alleged that the defendant struck a stone wall with his vehicle at another location and left the scene of the accident. It is also alleged that the defendant was in possession of an open container of alcohol in his vehicle and that he was driving his vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. After processing was completed, the defendant was issued a traffic tickets for the above charges and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible adult. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on December 17, 2020 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
