Suspicious Activity Results in Narcotic Arrest in Jefferson Valley Parking Lot

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 37 year old Lake Peekskill man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, and a 39 year old Fishkill woman, who is charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.
 
According to Police, on June 12, 2018 at approximately 5:55 pm, a Yorktown police officer was on patrol in the parking lot of 3651 Lee Rd when he observed alleged drug activity inside a vehicle.  Further investigation at the scene revealed that the female suspect possessed a quantity of marijuana and the male suspect was in possession of oxycodone, a controlled substance.  Both defendants were arrested and taken to Police Headquarters.
 
At Headquarters the defendants were processed on the above charges.  The male suspect was released on $150.00 cash bail and the female was released on her own recognizance. Both are scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice on July 12, 2018 at 6:00 pm for arraignment.
