Traffic Arrest

​Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 28 year-old male from Peekskill, NY who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Suspended Registration, an Unclassified Misdemeanor and Speed in Zone, a Traffic Infraction.
 
On January 31, 2020, at about 5:48 AM, while on routine patrol, P.O. Chaparro  conducted a traffic stop on Route 6 of a vehicle that was allegedly speeding. A routine driver’s license check of the operator revealed that he was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while his privilege to do so was suspended.  A routine check of the vehicle registration revealed that the registration was allegedly suspended.  The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing.
 
The defendant was processed and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on February 20, 2020, at 6:00PM to answer the charges.
