Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 37 year-old Mahopac, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor (2 counts), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, as well as, Unlicensed Operator and Broken Windshield, both Traffic Infractions.
According to police on February 12, 2020 at approximately 1740 hours Officer Hannigan was on patrol on Country Place when he observed a vehicle which allegedly had a broken windshield. Officer Hannigan conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and identified the operator as the defendant. A DMV check of the defendant’s driver’s license revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating a vehicle while his privilege to do so was suspended and allegedly unlicensed. After a subsequent investigation on scene was completed it is further alleged that he defendant was in possession of a quantity of Suboxone and a quantity of a substance alleged to be Cocaine. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Following processing the defendant was issued one appearance ticket and three traffic tickets for the above charges and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on March 3, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
