Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 37 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd degree, an unclassified misdemeanor and Moved from Lane Unsafely, a Traffic Infraction.
According to Police, on July 9, 2018 at approximately 7:31 PM, Yorktown officers were on patrol on Curry St. when they observed a vehicle allegedly cross the double yellow line and a traffic stop was conducted. An investigation by the officers was conducted at the scene which revealed that the defendant’s license was suspended for failure to answer a summons and a subsequent investigation revealed that the defendant allegedly was in possession of a quantity of heroin. The defendant was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. At Headquarters the defendant was processed on the above charges and released on her own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice court on August 1, 2019 at 6pm. Comments are closed.
