Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 27 year-old Peekskill, NY resident who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, as well as, Unlicensed Operator, Inadequate Brake Light, and Speed in Zone, all Traffic Infractions.
According to police on March 11, 2020 at approximately 1035 hours Officer DiPietrantonio was conducting a traffic safety detail on Quinlan Street when he observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. Based on his radar unit the vehicle was allegedly travelling at 53 mph in a 30 mph zone. Officer DiPietrantonio conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and also observed that the vehicle allegedly had an inadequate brake light. Officer DiPietrantonio contacted the driver of the vehicle and identified him as the defendant. A DMV check of the defendant’s license showed that he was allegedly operating a vehicle while his privilege to do so was suspended and he was allegedly operating a vehicle while unlicensed. The defendant was placed under arrest and processed at the scene. Following processing the defendant was issued traffic tickets for the above charges and released on his own recognizance. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on March 31, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
