Yorktown Police report the arrest of a twelve year old male from Mohegan Lake, New York, who is charged with Juvenile Delinquency, the underlying charge if committed by an adult being Attempted Petit Larceny, a Class “B” Misdemeanor.
On July 10, 2018, Officer Curtin responded to a Clover Rd. residence for a past report of a larceny of a dirt bike. After investigating the complaint and using video surveillance footage obtained by the homeowner, Officer Curtin cultivated a lead and was able to identify a suspect involved in the theft. On July 31, 2018, Officer Curtin made contact with a twelve year old suspect and his mother. After interviewing the twelve year old, he was charged with Juvenile Delinquency (the underlying charge if committed by an adult being Attempted Petit Larceny) for his role in the theft of the dirt bike. The twelve year old was issued an appearance ticket directing him to appear at the Westchester County Department of Probation with his mother on August 7, 2018 at 11:00 am.
