Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 38 year old West Hempstead, NY man who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and Fail to Use Designated Lane, a traffic infraction.
According to police, on July 22, 2020 at approximately 3:02 PM, the Yorktown Police receive a report of a single vehicle accident involving a vehicle striking a utility pole on Croton Lake Road (Rt. 129). Officer Curtin responded to the scene and identified the defendant as the operator and only occupant of the vehicle. After an investigation was completed at the scene it is alleged that the defendant failed to use his designated lane and was driving while intoxicated by alcohol. The defendant was placed under arrest and then transported to Hudson Valley Hospital for medical treatment. Upon discharge from the hospital the defendant was transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Following arrest processing the defendant was issued traffic tickets for the above charges and released on his own recognizance to a responsible third party. He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on September 3, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
