Yorktown Police report the arrest of a a 33 year old Yonkers man, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Unregistered vehicle and Uninsured Vehicle, both Traffic Infractions.
On June 14, 2018 at about 7:49 pm, Officer Caprio was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle that was allegedly being operated with no registration sticker in the window. Officer Caprio conducted a traffic stop on Downing Drive. The operator was identified by his Passport and a computer check revealed that the defendant was operating the vehicle while his privilege to drive in the State of New York was suspended for failing to answer a summons. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was not registered or and did not have any valid insurance. The defendant was arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and was released on $250 cash bail. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on July 12, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
