Yonkers Woman Arrested on Warrant After Allegedly Stealing Over $5,000 in Merchandise from Macy's1/19/2021
Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 60 year old Yonkers woman on a charge of Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class “D” Felony.
According to police, on October 10, 2020 at approximately 4:09 pm, Officer Campion was dispatched to Macy’s on Lee Blvd. to investigate a larceny complaint. Following Officer Campion's investigation, it is alleged that an unknown female stole over $5,000.00 worth of merchandise from Macy’s. Further investigation was conducted, and the suspect in the larceny was identified as the defendant. An Arrest Warrant was for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree was subsequently issued by the Yorktown Justice Court. On January 18, 2021 at approximately 3:35 pm, Yorktown Police were notified by Westchester County Police that they had the defendant in custody while investigating an unrelated incident. Westchester County Police transported the defendant to the Yorktown Police Headquarters, where she was placed under arrest. After arrest processing was completed, the defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia, who remanded the defendant to the Westchester County Jail without bail. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on February 2, 2021 at 3:00 pm. Comments are closed.
