Yorktown High School Student Arrested for Controlled Substance Possession at School

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 16 year old Yorktown male who has been charged with Criminal Possession Of A Controlled Substance In The 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. 
 
According to police on October 31st, 2017 at approximately 10:00 am, Yorktown High School Resource Officer Doerr reported investigating a drug complaint within Yorktown High School.  As a result of the investigation, it is alleged that the 16 year old male allegedly possessed 5 Clonazopam (Klonopin) pills, a Schedule (IV) Controlled Substance, while at school
 
The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters.  Following processing on the aforementioned charge, the male was issued an appearance ticket directing him to answer said charge in Yorktown Court on November 30th, 2017 at 6:00 pm.  The male was then released on his own recognizance to a parent.
