Yorktown Holiday Light Parade TODAY at 4:15 pm EXPECT ROAD CLOSURES AND DELAYS

Yorktown Chief of Police Robert Noble advises motorists that on Saturday December 1st, 2018 at 4:15 pm, the Yorktown Parks and Recreation Department will be holding the annual Holiday Light Parade. The parade will begin on Front Street, near the Yorktown Highway Department, and will travel west on Underhill Avenue to the intersection with Commerce Street. The parade will continue on Commerce Street to Veterans Road, concluding with ceremonies at the Albert A. Capellini Community Cultural Center/Jack DeVito Veterans Memorial Track & Field.

To provide for the safety of parade participants and spectators, Yorktown Police will CLOSE THE FOLLOWING ROADS AT APPROXIMATELY 4:00 pm until the conclusion of the parade, estimated to be approximately one hour.

1. Front Street @ Underhill Avenue

2. Commerce Street from Kear Street to Veterans Road

3. Veterans Road from Commerce Street to Maple Hill Street

4. Kear Street at Underhill Avenue

5. Downing Drive at Commerce Street

6. Hanover Street at Commerce Street

7. Maple Hill Street between Yorktown Post Office and Veterans Rd.

8. Underhill Avenue at Route 118 (Saw Mill River Road)
