Yorktown Man Arrested After Pushing Female Victim Down a Flight of Stairs

Yorktown police report the arrest of a 48 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Assault 3rd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
 
According to police, on November 7th 2018 at 3:07 pm, a call was received reporting a domestic dispute in progress at a Yorktown residence.  Officers Pietraniello and Beyrer responded to the scene and conducted an investigation which revealed that a 48 year old male suspect pushed a female victim down a flight of steps, causing the victim to strike her head and sustain a laceration to her head.
 
The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters.  Following processing on the aforementioned charge, the defendant was held pending arraignment.
