Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 22 year old male from Yorktown, NY who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, driving with a BAC of .18 or greater, both Misdemeanors. The defendant is additionally charged with Failing to Stop at a Stop Sign and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Vehicle Crash, both are traffic infractions.
On July 27, 2019 at approximately 12:51 AM, Sgt. Dillon, P.O.Chaparro and P.O. Campion responded to the area of Gomer Street and Curry Street for a vehicle crash. It is alleged that the operator of the vehicle, the defendant had fled the scene on foot prior to officer’s arrival. Investigation at the scene identified the operator as the defendant. Investigation also alleges that the defendant Failed to Stop at a Stop Sign and was allegedly Driving While Intoxicated. The defendant was located and arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. Once at Yorktown Police Department, it is further alleged that the defendant was Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18 or greater. The defendant was processed at police headquarters on the above charges and was released on his own recognizance to a family member. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 13, 2019 at 6:00 PM to answer the charges. Comments are closed.
