Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 38 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, a Class “E” Felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, a Class “D” Felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On July 7, 2019 at about 6:00 PM, the Yorktown Police Department responded to a domestic incident at a Yorktown residence. Investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant and victim allegedly became involved in a verbal argument. During the argument it is alleged that the defendant caused damage in excess of $1000 dollars to a flat screen TV by throwing it to the ground. It is further alleged that the defendant possessed an assault rifle with high capacity magazines while having been previously convicted of a Felony. The defendant was arrested on scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department. The defendant was processed at the Yorktown Police Department and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Lagonia. An Order of Protection was also issued by the Honorable Judge Lagonia protecting the victim and the defendant was remanded to Westchester County Jail. The defendant is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on July 11, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
