Yorktown Man Arrested Following Domestic Incident

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 44 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a Class “E” Felony.
 
On November 2, 2019 at about 10:01 PM, the Yorktown Police Department responded to a domestic incident at a Yorktown residence.  During the course of the investigation it was discovered that the defendant, who was no longer on scene, allegedly possessed a firearm in his residence that he failed to register.  Ultimately, after being contacted by police, the defendant voluntarily appeared at the Yorktown Police Department on December 10, 2019 at 6:58 PM and was placed under arrest.
 
The defendant was processed at the Yorktown Police Department, issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance.  The defendant is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on January 16, 2020 at 6:00 PM.
