Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 67 year old Yorktown NY man, who is charged with Attempted Assault in the 2nd Degree, a Class "E" Felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
According to police, on April 5, 2022 at approximately 2:31 pm, Yorktown Police Officers were dispatched to a report of an assault in progress in the area of 2829 Crompond Road. An investigation was conducted at the scene and it is alleged that the defendant attempted to cause physical injury to another man by hitting him in the shoulder with a wooden bat. The defendant was arrested at the scene and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters. The defendant was processed on the above charges and then arraigned by the Honorable Gary Raniolo. Bail was set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond or $20,000 partially secured bond. The defendant was unable to post bail and was turned over to the Westchester County Department of Corrections. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on April 8, 2022 at 5:00 pm. Comments are closed.
