Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 24 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Assault in the 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 Counts), which are all Class “A” Misdemeanors.
According to Police, a call was received on May 10, 2019 at 3:38 PM, reporting a domestic incident at a Yorktown residence. Sgt. Racioppo, Officer Premuto, Officer Tillistrand, Officer Chaparro, Det. Nadoraski, and Det. Sage responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. It is alleged that the defendant did strike the victim in the head with a closed fist causing physical injury and rendering the victim unconscious for a period of time. It is alleged that this took place in the presence of two children under the age of seventeen. It is further alleged that the defendant did also possess a quantity of Xanax. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by Judge Raniolo where he set bail at $1,000 bond or $250 cash and a Temporary Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim. The defendant posted bail and was released. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 14, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
