Yorktown Man Charged with Assault After Domestic Incident

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 27 year old Yorktown  resident who is charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
 
According to Police, PO Curtis on 02/19/2018 at 1:40 PM responded to the Yorktown Police Department to investigate a report of a past domestic incident that occurred at a Yorktown residence on 02/15/18 at 6:30 PM.  Officer Curtis conducted an investigation and it is alleged that the defendant did grab and strike the victim multiple times as well as throw the victim against a wall causing pain and injury to the victim. 
 
The defendant voluntarily responded to the Yorktown Police Department and was placed under arrest on 02/19/2018 at 4:10 PM.  He was processed on the above charge and was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by Judge Raniolo where he was released on his own recognizance and a Temporary Order of Protection issued on behalf of the victim.  The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on March 15th, 2018 at 6:00 PM.
