Yorktown Man Charged with Assault After Late Night Altercation

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 26 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor.
 
On 05/10/2018 at approximately 8:41 PM, PO Curtis responded to the Phelps Memorial Hospital to investigate a report of a past assault that occurred at 3833 Crompond Road, Yorktown, NY on 05/10/18 at 1:06 AM.  Police conducted an investigation and it is alleged that the defendant punched the victim causing the victim pain and injury.
 
On 05/11/2018 at 05:00 PM the defendant voluntarily surrendered himself to the Yorktown Police Department.  The defendant was processed on the above charge and was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia.  The defendant was issued a Temporary Order of Protection on the victim’s behalf and was released on his own recognizance.  The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 22nd, 2018 at 6:00 PM.
