Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 22 year old Yorktown man who is charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree and Menacing in the 2nd Degree, both Class "A" Misdemeanors.
On January 23, 2018 at about 7:45 pm the Yorktown Police Department responded to a report of a domestic incident at a Yorktown residence involving a physical altercation. Officer Beyrer responded and conducted an investigation. After completing his investigation, it is alleged that the defendant did strike the victim in the face and body as well as kick the victim in the back causing injury to the victim. It is further alleged that during the incident the defendant grabbed a kitchen knife and a hammer while threatening to stab the victim, causing the victim to be in fear for his safety. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department. He was processed on the above charges and was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Salvatore Lagonia where a Temporary Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim and defendant was remanded to Westchester County Jail on $15,000 bail. The defendant is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on January 25, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
