Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 36 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree a class A misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Fail to Obey a Traffic Control Device which are violations.
On May 5, 2018 at about 8:05 pm while on routine patrol and conducting traffic enforcement, P.O. Curtis observed a blue Subaru allegedly fail to obey a traffic control device. P.O. Curtis conducted a traffic stop of the Subaru on Baldwin Road. Investigation at scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly unlawfully possessing marijuana. It is also alleged that the defendant was found to be in criminal possession of a controlled substance, Cocaine. The defendant was arrested on the above charges. The defendant was transported to Yorktown Police Department where he was processed on the above charges. The defendant was released on $200.00 cash bail to a family member and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on June 7, 2018 at 6:00 pm for arraignment. Comments are closed.
