Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 28 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, 2 Counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor and Fail to Maintain Lane, a Traffic Violation.
On 12/18/19 at appoximately 2:40 PM, Officer Palladino was notified by an off duty Yorktown Police Officer that the defendant was attempting to operate a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. PO Palladino located the motor vehicle on East Main Street, observed a traffic infraction and conducted a traffic stop. An investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. Further investigation revealed that the defendant was allegedly in possession of a quantity of heroin, clonazepam and a hypodermic instrument. The defendant was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance with an appearance ticket to a responsible party. The defendant is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on 01/02/2020 at 6:00 pm. Comments are closed.
