Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 29 year old Yorktown man, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a Class "A" Misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of Marijuana, a Class "B" Misdemeanor, failing to comply with a lawful order or direction of any police officer, having an inoperable headlight and turning without signaling, all traffic infractions.
Police report that on April 22, 2018 at approximately 01:29 AM, P.O. Hannigan while on routine patrol observed a vehicle that allegedly had an inoperable headlight and attempted to initiate a car stop by activating his emergency lights and siren. The operator of the vehicle allegedly continued to drive, refusing to stop his vehicle. While pursuing the vehicle the operator allegedly made a turn without signaling and then pulled into his driveway stopping the car. P.O. Hannigan made contact with the operator and an investigation at the scene revealed the defendant allegedly possessed a quantity of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine pills and over 25 grams of marijuana. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed on the above charges and released on recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on May 22, 2108 at 6:00 pm Comments are closed.
