Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 21 year old Yorktown, NY, resident who is charged with Reckless Endangerment in the 1st degree, a Class “D” Felony, Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree, a Class “D” Felony and Prohibited use of a Weapon, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On July 12, 2020, at approximately 3:49 PM, Yorktown Police responded to a residence within the Town of Yorktown to investigate a report of gun shots fired into a residence. Following an investigation at the scene, it’s alleged the defendant discharged a rifle inside his residence and a bullet went through his residence, penetrated the siding of the victim’s home and came to rest in the interior of the victim’s home. It’s further alleged that the defendant caused damage in excess of $1,500.00 to the victim’s home. The defendant was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was arraigned by Judge Lagonia. The defendant was released on his own recognizance and a temporary order of protection was issued on the victim’s behalf. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on August 18, 2020 at 6:00 PM. Comments are closed.
