Yorktown Man Charged with Stealing a Drone from Commerce St. Parking Lot

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 60 year old Yorktown Heights resident who is charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree, a Class "E" Felony.
 
On October 14, 2017 P.O. DiPietrantonio was assigned to investigate a report of a stolen Drone and accessories that occurred on October 7, 2017 from the parking lot of 1864 Commerce St.  The victim received an anonymous tip of the location of the suspect vehicle.  Further investigation by Detective Shanahan determined that the defendant had allegedly stolen the Drone while it was in the parking lot.  The defendant voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police Headquarters on 10/19/17 where he was placed under arrest and processed on the above charge.  
 
The defendant was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on November 21, 2017 at 6:00 pm for arraignment.
