Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 19 year old Shrub Oak man, who is charged with Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, a Class "E" Felony.
On February 28, 2021 at about 12:00 am, Yorktown Police responded to the Westminster Rd. in the Canterbury Crossing community for a past criminal mischief complaint. Officer David conducted an investigation and it is alleged that the defendant intentionally damaged a vehicle window and tail light by striking it with a wooden stick, causing damage in the amount of $1,000. On March 4, 2021, the defendant was contacted and arrested outside his residence and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for arrest processing. Following processing on the above charge, the defendant was released on his own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on March 18, 2021 at 6:00 pm.
