Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 21 year old Yorktown, NY, resident who is charged with 2 counts of Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, a Class "D" Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree, a Class "C" Felony.
On October 22, 2021 at approximately 6:00 PM, P.O. Curtis was on an unrelated call when he heard what he thought to be fireworks or gunshots in the area of Cording Road. Later in the evening an investigation commenced which led to police alleging the defendant had, at about 6:00 PM on the October 22nd, fired 2 shots from a firearm from his residence on Cording Road. On October 23, 2021 a Search Warrant was applied for and obtained granting Yorktown Police and the Westchester County Department of Public Safety to search the residence. At about 9:00 PM, the Westchester County Special Response Team began to secure and clear the residence. The defendant was located a short distance away and was arrested without incident on the Reckless Endangerment charges. Yorktown Police then executed the search warrant and searched the residence where they located a firearm they allege was used in the alleged incident and a quantity of an allegedly hallucinogenic substance, leading to the Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance charge. Following processing on the above charges, the defendant was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo, and was released on his own recognizance . Comments are closed.
