Yorktown Woman Charged with Assault

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 28-year-old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Assault 3rd Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
 
According to police, on July 27, 2020 at approximately 2:35 am, Yorktown Police were dispatched to investigate an assault complaint.  Following an investigation by Officer Pagliuca and Detective Shanahan, it is alleged that the defendant did cause physical injury to the victim by punching and kicking the victim.  On September 8, 2020 at 6:15 pm the defendant voluntarily surrendered and was placed under arrest on the Assault 3rd Degree charge.
 
After processing the defendant was arraigned on the above charge by the Honorable Judge Lagonia.  A Temporary Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim and the defendant was released on her own recognizance to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on October 13, 2020 at 6:00 pm.
