Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 22 year old Ozone Park resident who is charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, a Misdemeanor.
According to police on July 1, 2019 at approximately 5:54 PM they responded to a personal injury auto accident on Route 6 and Barger St. Officer Michael Pietraniello was dispatched to investigate. His investigation revealed that a rear end collision had occurred and one of the vehicles had fled the scene North on the Taconic State Parkway. In response to a BOLO the New York State Police were able to locate, and stop, the vehicle at the Bryant Pond Rd exit. Officer Pietraniello responded to the scene where he completed his investigation and arrested the defendant for allegedly leaving the scene of the injury accident. Following the arrest the defendant was processed at the Yorktown Police Department. He was released on $100 cash bail to appear in Yorktown Court on August 1, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 30 year old Putnam Valley, NY resident who is charged with two counts of robbery in the second degree, a class C Felony.
According to police on June 30, 2019, at approximately 1:54 AM Officer Hannigan and Detective Shanahan responded for a report of a domestic incident that occurred on Campbell Road. An investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant allegedly forcibly stole the victim’s handbag and vehicle, causing her to sustain cuts on her elbow and pain in her wrist. Yorktown Police, with the assistance of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, located the defendant and the vehicle in Putnam Valley. The defendant was arrested and transported to police headquarters. The defendant was processed on the above charges and arraigned by Judge Lagonia. The defendant was released on his own recognizance and he is scheduled to answer said charges in the Yorktown Justice Court on July 11, 2019 at 6:00 PM |
