Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 26 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Burglary in the 2nd degree, a Class C Felony.
According to Police, on July 5th, 2019 at approximately 5:36 PM a Yorktown resident contacted the police department to report a past Burglary. Det. Swart and PO Premuto responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. Officers were able to identify the defendant, a relative of the victim, as a suspect. It is alleged that the defendant did enter the victim’s residence and steal property. On July 8 the defendant voluntarily surrendered herself to the Yorktown Police Department and was placed under arrest for Burglary in the 2nd Degree. She was processed on the above charge and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Lagonia who released the defendant on her own recognizance. The defendant is scheduled to return to the Yorktown Justice Court on 07/23/19 at 6:00 PM Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 21 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a Class “A” Misdemeanor and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, an unclassified misdemeanor.
On July 8, 2019 at about 6:00 PM, Yorktown Police completed a domestic incident report that had occurred at a Yorktown residence. After completing an investigation, it is alleged that the defendant took a motor vehicle from a family member without that person’s permission. It’s further alleged that her privilege to do so was suspended for failing to answer a summons. While actively investigating the case, P.O. Premuto located the missing vehicle at a residence in Yorktown. P.O. Caprio and P.O. Premuto made contact with the defendant. The officers placed the defendant under arrest. The defendant was transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing. The defendant was processed at the Yorktown Police Department and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Lagonia. The defendant was released on her own recognizance and is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on August 8, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 38 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, a Class “E” Felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, a Class “D” Felony and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.
On July 7, 2019 at about 6:00 PM, the Yorktown Police Department responded to a domestic incident at a Yorktown residence. Investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant and victim allegedly became involved in a verbal argument. During the argument it is alleged that the defendant caused damage in excess of $1000 dollars to a flat screen TV by throwing it to the ground. It is further alleged that the defendant possessed an assault rifle with high capacity magazines while having been previously convicted of a Felony. The defendant was arrested on scene and transported to the Yorktown Police Department. The defendant was processed at the Yorktown Police Department and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court by the Honorable Judge Lagonia. An Order of Protection was also issued by the Honorable Judge Lagonia protecting the victim and the defendant was remanded to Westchester County Jail. The defendant is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on July 11, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 28 year old Yorktown, NY resident who is charged with Reckless Driving, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer 3rd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, as well as Fail to Stop for a Stop Sign, Speed in Zone, and Fail to Signal Turn, all Traffic Infractions. The defendant was also charged with numerous additional Traffic Violations.
According to police on July 4, 2019 at about 10:13 PM, Officer Battista was on routine patrol on Lee Blvd when he observed a vehicle allegedly go through a stop sign a the Hill Blvd and Lee Blvd intersection without stopping. Officer Battista attempted to initiate a traffic stop by activating his roof lights however; the vehicle turned onto Strang Blvd allegedly without signaling the turn and allegedly fled from Officer Battista at speeds that allegedly exceeded 100 mph while allegedly unsafeely passing other motorist and allegedly committing numerous additional traffic violations. Officer Battista terminated the pursuit for safety reasons. A subsequent police investigation was able to identify the defendant as the alleged driver of the vehicle. On July 2, 2019 at approximately 8:24 AM the defendant surrendered himself at Yorktown Police Headquarters and was placed under arrest. Following processing on the above charges the defendant was issued an appearance ticket and uniform traffic tickets and released on $600 cash bail. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 8, 2019 at 6:00 PM. Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 26 year old Putnam Valley, NY resident who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC over .18, and Reckless Driving, all Misdemeanors. The defendant was also charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Fail to Obey, Fail to Keep Right, and Unsafe Lane Change, all traffic infractions.
According to police on June 24, 2019 at about 7:50 PM P.O. Curtin was on patrol on Barger St when he was flagged down by a motorist who reported that his vehicle was just struck by another car that left the scene of the accident. P.O. Curtin was able to locate the vehicle on East Main St where he observed it allegedly committing the listed traffic infractions. When he attempted to stop the vehicle the operator refused to comply. The vehicle was ultimately stopped on Mill St. An investigation identified the operator as the defendant and revealed that he was allegedly driving while intoxicated and for having a BAC over .18. The defendant was arrested and brought to YPD for processing. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance to the New York State Police who wanted him for an earlier leaving the scene accident. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Court on July 2, 2019 at 6:00 PM. |
